Senator Letter #2

Dear Senator Cardin:

Hello, my name is Alexis M. and I'm writing this letter to you because I believe that there's an issue I'd like to bring up with you. It's been going around for a while and I've noticed it all this time, and I'm pretty sure so have you. I'd like for you to help me with this, make a law of some sort because it's so unfair. It's something that is a priority. It should, and one way or another, it shall be fixed if you could possibly help me.

My issue is the cruelty that's been happening to animals. I saw on the news recently that there had been bad cow meat because the people who have the cows at the moment brutalize them and we're getting our meat from those people. At some schools they stopped serving things that had cow meat because it was bad, schools like North High school. We as students shouldn't have to put up with that just because cruel people want to torture cows like that just to get them to walk or do something they can't do. The reason they're unable to walk is because they hurt them so badly but yet they continue to do it! It doesn't make any sense.

What I'd like for you to do is to make a law to stop animal cruelty. It's not right, animals have emotion and feelings too. They can feel pain, they're living creatures. I think it'll work because if you make it a law, people won't break it. Even though some people will, they'll get punished for it. If the break it, there will be consequences. With your help I can make this happen. Consider this law please.

Sincerely:

Alexis Martinez
