Senator Letter #41

Dear Senator:

My name is Tommy Holt I go to Borman Middle School in Phoenix, AZ.
I am 13 years old and I am a football player. But my biggest concern is that
America should pass the law for the immigrants to have papers. There is no
doubt in my mind that you have head this before, but allot of the immigrants
have worked hard to get where they are today. And I as an American Citizen
know that they should have papers to.

Allot of the immigrants have been here for a while. Some of the immigrants
have only been here for months. I'm not saying you should stop controlling
the border, I'm just saying that the immigrants that been here for over a
certain amount years should be able to stay as long as they don't break any
of the laws. I know that a certain amount of the immigrants a good in following
the American laws. And they should be able to stay here because they're working
hard.

A huge percent of the immigrants are children most of the people when they
here the word immigrant they think of someone standing out side of home
depot that is not the case. The children that are crossing the border with
their parents don't even know that they are committing a crime. So why
punish the children for doing something that they don't even know is wrong.
Where is the justice in that. The immigrants come to America to get a better
life, America should take that as a compliment and not in a bad way. We need
to trinity about that, (as George Bush would say). Once again I'm not saying
America should let anyone come to America and do what they want, but at
least gives them a chance. Now as a fellow American citizen I think we should give these people a chance, because immigrants are people to. And I think America is treating these immigrants really bad. Our impact program is really trying hard to
interview 100 immigrants after that then judge them.

Sincerely:

Tommy Holt
